THE RIGHT PLAN FOR QUEENSLAND’S FUTURE
The LNP has committed to funding Miracle Mum’s Movement Inc. to provide peer support for women who have been affected by family and domestic violence in Redcliffe and Moreton Bay if elected next month.
Miracle Mums exists to support women who have left family and domestic violence situations with weekly well-being workshops providing peer support, self-development principles, fostering personal growth and recovery.
This funding will help fund workshops to help women recover who have been affected by family and domestic violence. Children of affected women will be most welcomed, allowing mothers to focus on their growth.
LNP candidate for Redcliffe, Kerri-Anne Dooley said the $150,000 pilot project was part of their focus on working harder for Queenslanders, while under Labor Queensland was heading in the wrong direction.
“The LNP will restore a government who works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Kerri-Anne Dooley said.
This funding for Miracle Mum’s Movement will literally help save lives.
“Queenslanders deserve a government that delivers programs and services needed for the real issues affecting our state’s future, supporting our communities.”
President of Miracle Mum’s Movement Inc., Lou Feltham-Smith welcomed the announcement and said it would change the lives of local women who have been affected by family and domestic violence.
“Since I’ve met Kerri-Anne she has not stopped advocating for us as an organisation. She has helped us reach goals as a new not for profit when the current Member for Redcliffe ignored us. We are overwhelmed with her personal and LNP support.”
Kerri-Anne Dooley said locals could vote for supporting women escaping family and domestic violence situations and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.
“Queenslanders need to show Labor the door in 2024, to ensure the right focus on delivering the programs, services and communities for our state,” Kerri-Anne Dooley said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
