THE RIGHT PLAN FOR QUEENSLAND’S FUTURE
The LNP has committed to upgrade lighting at the Peninsula Power Football Club in Redcliffe if elected this month.
By upgrading the lights at the Kippa Ring ground, more players will be able to compete and train, and the club will be able to host competition matches allowing increasing numbers of people to be involved in the popular community club.
LNP candidate for Redcliffe, Kerri-Anne Dooley said the $70,000 commitment was part of their focus on working harder for Queenslanders, while under Labor, Queensland was heading in the wrong direction.
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Kerri-Anne Dooley said.
“Peninsula Power FC has not received any new state government or council funding in more than seven years.
“They are maintaining their facilities as best they can but they desperately need to upgrade their lighting to be able to host games and provide training at night-time.
“They have a membership of over 300 so this project would be help keep kids, teens and young adults in sport.”
“Labor’s failures have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots support to local sporting clubs such as Peninsula Power FC.
Craig Feuerriegel, President of Peninsula Power Football Club welcomed the announcement and said it would help take the club to the next level.
“Peninsula Power FC is one of the most successful football clubs in Southeast Queensland,” said Mr Feuerriegel.
“We compete in the top tier of football in Queensland for men, women, juniors’ boys and girls.
“We compete in National Premier League competitions for men and women as well as host the Queensland Academy League for boys and girls. We are the pride and passion of Peninsula Power”, said Mr Feuerriegel.
Kerri-Anne Dooley said locals could vote to support Peninsula Power Football Club and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.
“Our state needs a fresh start, and only the LNP has the Right Plan for Queensland.”
