Local sporting clubs and families in Yarrabilba and Tamborine are set to score big, with an elected LNP Federal Government to deliver $450,000 towards the creation of a brand-new sports complex.
Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz MP, today announced the commitment to ensure that the families and young athletes of the growing communities of Yarrabilba and Tamborine had access to first-class sporting facilities.
“I’m proud to announce that an elected LNP Government will contribute $450,000 towards the creation of a new Yarrabilba and Tamborine Sports Complex,” Scott Buchholz said.
“Sport is at the heart of our communities. It brings people together, promotes healthy lifestyles. This investment will deliver a top-notch sports complex that will be a hub for local clubs and families for years to come.
“Only the LNP has a plan to invest in community infrastructure, build better local facilities, and get Australia back on track.”
Logan City Councillor Nathan St Ledger welcomed the announcement, highlighting the importance of delivering modern recreational spaces in one of Queensland’s fastest-growing areas.
“Yarrabilba and Tamborine are rapidly growing, and the demand for high-quality sports facilities has never been greater,” Cr St Ledger said.
“This new complex will provide a much-needed home for local sporting clubs and help foster the next generation of athletes.
“We thank Scott Buchholz for his strong advocacy in securing this commitment and for standing up for our community.
“Our local clubs have been crying out for better facilities, and this project will be a game-changer. Scott Buchholz has been a real champion for local sport, and we’re incredibly grateful for his support in making this project a reality.”
