THE RIGHT PLAN FOR QUEENSLAND’S FUTURE
The LNP has committed $2 million to improve transport infrastructure at McDowall State School with an upgrade to the drop off zone and school’s bicycle compound if elected next month.
The redesign of these facilities will dramatically improve safety for children walking and riding to school as well as reducing local traffic.
LNP candidate for Aspley, Amanda Cooper said the $2 million commitment would help deliver the programs and services needed to prepare for the State’s future.
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Amanda Cooper said.
“McDowall State School’s ‘Kiss and Ride’ drop off zone option is a convenient feature for parents of school aged children, however the resulting congestion is now a safety issue impacting local streets and people travelling on Rode Road, which is a key east-west traffic corridor”
“Queenslanders need a fresh start, and this much needed school upgrade is part of restoring a government that educates young Queenslanders, boosts our skills training facilities and puts more teachers in our schools.”
McDowall State School parents have welcomed the announcement and said the upgrades would benefit not only the students and families, but the wider Aspley community.
Amanda Cooper said Queenslanders could vote for upgrading our local school facilities, improving road safety and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this next election.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to deliver the programs, training and services we need for the future,” Amanda Cooper said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
