THE RIGHT PLAN FOR QUEENSLAND’S FUTURE
The LNP has committed to commencing construction on the Moura Multipurpose Health Service Aged Care Extension Project, in Callide, if elected this month.
The LNP secured Federal funding for this project in 2019, with construction originally to commence in 2023.
LNP MP for Callide Bryson Head said that due to Labor’s chaos and crisis, the critical project has not yet started construction.
On completion, the Moura Multipurpose Health Service Aged Care extension project will include eight single bed accommodation units, associated recreation spaces, staff offices and four additional car parks.
Mr Head said this is part of the LNP’s plan to ensure communities have access to health services when they need them.
“The residents of Moura have been extremely patient waiting many years for this aged care extension, but it’s clear that only the LNP will get on with the job and deliver this critical project.
“The Moura community has been taken for granted by Labor for far too long with over a billion dollars in coal royalties leaving this community of recent years, while Labor wasted billions on budget blowouts in the South East.
“This extension will quite literally be a life changer for the Moura community, ensuring that loved ones can stay close to home with the facilities and care they need, while providing better facilities and resources for our overworked hospital staff.
“The LNP will restore health services when you need them with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Mr Head said.
“Our plan will heal Labor’s Health Crisis by diagnosing the issues from within our health system, treating the causes and delivering long-term solutions to care.
"Time is up for Labor’s Health Crisis, which has left nearly one in two Queenslanders ramped in ambulances, more than 60,000 Queenslanders waiting for elective surgery and nearly 300,000 on the waitlist to see a specialist.
Bryson Head said Queenslanders could vote for the Moura Multipurpose Health Service Aged Care Extension and a Fresh Start for Queensland, by voting LNP on October 26.
“Only by voting 1 LNP will Queenslanders get a Fresh Start and projects like the Health Service extension in Moura,” Mr Head said.
“Labor are desperate to hold onto power, but unless we change the government, we’ll continue to get more of the same under Labor.
“This is the opportunity for a Fresh Start with the LNP’s Right Plan for Queensland’s Future.”
