Meet David

David has tirelessly served the community for eight years since he was elected as Member for Toowoomba South in 2016.
 
David has also most recently served as Shadow Treasurer, Shadow Minister for Home Ownership and Shadow Minister for Investment and Trade.

David brings diverse experience to the Queensland Parliament.

Born and raised on the land near Acland, he holds economics and law (honours) degrees from the University of Queensland.

He has worked in a range of senior roles in Toowoomba, Brisbane and London, including as General Counsel for Toowoomba’s own Heritage Bank (now People First Bank).

Building a better Toowoomba South is at the heart of his mission, ensuring that residents have access to top-quality healthcare and education.

David has been a strong advocate for victims of crime and giving a voice to those most vulnerable.

He is dedicated to strengthening the law, properly resourcing the police, and backing early intervention programs that work.

Fixing the child safety and foster care systems is one of his priorities – to protect our vulnerable and at-risk kids.

David is committed to representing Toowoomba South with integrity, passion, and a clear vision for a prosperous future.
