A Dutton LNP Government will back our growing area with a $400,000 commitment for the development of new female facilities at the Souths Junior Magpies.

LNP candidate for Moreton, Henry Swindon, said that “Sport is the fabric of our local communities, which is why it’s so important that we ensure that all players, but particularly our female players, feel safe and comfortable, so that our local clubs can continue to thrive,” Mr Swindon said.

“The state of the current changerooms at the Souths Junior Magpies is poor, so I am proud to announce this commitment from a Dutton LNP Government to deliver better facilities for our local players.”

Liberal National Party Senator for Queensland, Paul Scarr, said, “I have a long relationship with Souths Rugby League at Acacia Ridge. This club is the home of Tokoua Tonga Rugby League and Queensland Kaiviti Rugby League amongst others. I love the work that this club does with the community and am proud to be part of an LNP team that will support them into the future.”

Amanda Welch, Secretary of Souths Juniors Rugby League said, “We are committed to the growth of the women’s game at our club. We are delighted to receive this commitment towards these vital works at our club.”

This commitment is part of the LNP’s plan to strengthen our local communities and get our country back on track.  To read more about our plan, visit https://www.lnp.au/ontrack
