Hi, I'm Kevin Burns, your LNP candidate for Oxley

We have a beautiful community in Oxley, and I’ve always wanted to support that.

As my children grew up, I was heavily involved in my community. I volunteered across many organisations, including as a junior football coach, on the Richlands East Primary P&C and with the Rural Fire Brigade.

In my professional life, I have spent over two decades as a Line Haul driver. Every week, I see accidents on our roads that Labor has allowed to become increasingly dangerous in Australia. Almost 1 in 5 national road deaths occur on the Bruce Highway.

Keeping our community safe is government’s first task and this Labor government has failed.

Locally, I also hear from people in Oxley frustrated by the Labor Government’s neglect of infrastructure in our rapidly growing community. We are taking a huge amount of housing, but
Labor isn’t providing the community infrastructure to go with it.

After a three years of Labor’s failures, it’s time for a change. The only way to address these challenges is to change the government.

I’m running to earn my community’s trust and show I’m ready to be part of a government to get Australia back on track.
