My pledge to you...
Wide Bay is a wonderful place to live, and I’m proud to raise my family here with my wife Sharon.
But over the past three years, the Labor/Greens government in Canberra has let us down badly with their cost of living crisis. Local residents deserve better.
Before becoming the Member for Wide Bay in 2016, I served 16 years as a police officer, focusing on criminal intelligence and road crash investigations. That experience drove me to fight for practical things – like better mental health services and safer roads, including the $1 billion Bruce Highway upgrade.
I fought for job-creating projects like the Tiaro bypass and the Nolan Meats upgrade because our community is stronger when our economy is stronger.
I pledge to keep fighting for Wide Bay and for better local services. And with your support, I pledge to get our local area and Australia back on track.
All the best,
Llew O'Brien
