Meet Natalie

Hi, I'm Natalie Marr, your LNP candidate for Thuringowa.

I was born in North Queensland, and I’ve spent the last 47 years living and working here in the Townsville region. I’m a true local who understands what our area needs.

I know what makes North Queensland tick, which is why I was so proud to apply my experience and improve the delivery of council services when I represented our community on the Townsville City Council for four years as a Councillor.

I’ve heard and seen countless incidents which highlight the crime problem facing our city. I’ve worked tirelessly with police and locals in various roles to tackle crime and improve community safety so our families can feel safe in their homes. But one thing has become crystal clear – under this Labor government, there are next to no consequences for youth crime. It’s just not good enough.

And it’s not only crime that is soaring under Labor. Rising costs are hurting all of us, and we are all seeing the consequences of the Palaszczuk/Miles Labor Government that can’t manage the economy as hospital wait times grow, electricity prices continue to rise, and local roads struggle to keep up with our growing population.

That’s why I’m putting my hand up to represent Thuringowa in the Queensland Parliament for the LNP. We need a representative who listens to locals and fights for the issues that matter to our community.
