The LNP has committed to a network of anti-hooning cameras to ensure safer streets in the Springwood electorate if elected this month.
The anti-hooning cameras will be delivered across Rochedale South, Springwood, Daisy Hill, Shailer Park, Mount Cotton, Sheldon and Priestdale to act as a deterrent to the reckless drivers terrorising suburban streets.
LNP candidate for Springwood, Susanna Damianopoulos said the $2 million project was part of the LNP’s Making Our Community Safer Plan.
“The LNP has heard the residents’ concerns about these anti-social louts loudly and clearly” Susanna Damianopoulos said.
“This investment in anti-hooning cameras will help keep our streets safe by deterring reckless drivers, reducing disturbances to local residents, and ensuring a safer environment for everyone.
“They will also help our hardworking frontline police officers prosecute these hoons by providing valuable evidence.
“Queenslanders have been held hostage by Labor’s Crime Crisis, but the LNP is committed to making our community safer with Adult Crime, Adult Time, gold standard early intervention and effective rehabilitation.
“Labor’s failures have seen crime skyrocket, with almost 300,000 Queenslanders victim to violations like car theft, break-ins and assaults, just last year.
Susanna Damianopoulos said Queenslanders could vote for safer streets, a safer community and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.
“Our state needs a Fresh Start, only the LNP has the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future.”
