The Gracemere Junior Rugby League Club and Gracemere Netball will score a big win if the LNP is elected on October 26.
The LNP has committed to build a new clubhouse for the two clubs, to help them tackle their recent growth.
LNP candidate for Rockhampton Donna Kirkland said the $3m announcement is a gamechanger for Gracemere.
“With the recent population growth in Gracemere and Central Queensland, the facilities at these sporting clubs have struggled to cope,” Mrs Kirkland said.
“This new clubhouse means future generations of league and netball players will have amazing facilities right here in Gracemere.”
“Queenslanders should have a government that delivers the programs and services needed for the State’s future, supporting our regional communities.”
“Labor’s failures have overseen more than $20 billion in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots infrastructure like this new clubhouse.”
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,”
Steve Lorraway, Vice President of Gracemere Jnr Rugby League, welcomed the announcement and said it would inspire more families to take up rugby league and allow the club to expand their membership even further.
“Grassroots rugby league brings a community together. This new clubhouse will become a community hub for Gracemere and we’re very excited about what the part we play in that,” Mr Lorraway said.
LNP candidate for Rockhampton Donna Kirkland said Queenslanders could vote for this new clubhouse and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.
“This state needs a fresh start, and only the LNP has the Right Plan for Queensland.”
