The LNP has committed to help Moreton Bay Meals on Wheels expand their services and support the growing demand in Moreton Bay if elected next month.
This funding will ensure that Moreton Bay Meals on Wheels can continue to provide crucial meals and care to seniors and vulnerable residents, allowing them to maintain their independence and health.
LNP candidate for Kurwongbah, Tanya McKewen, said the $300,000 project was part of their focus on working harder for Queenslanders, while under Labor Queensland was heading in the wrong direction.
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Tanya Mckewen said.
“This investment in Moreton Bay Meals on Wheels will expand services, ensuring our seniors and vulnerable residents continue receiving the care they need.”
“Labor’s failures have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots funding like this to such a vital community group.
“Queenslanders should have a government that delivers the programs and services needed for the State’s future, supporting our communities.”
General Manager of Moreton Bay Meals on Wheels, Wendy Smith welcomed the announcement and said the funding would go straight to the frontline of delivering meals to Kurwongbah’s most vulnerable residents.
Tanya McKewen said Queenslanders could vote for this vital Meals on Wheels funding and a government focused on driving down cost pressures, by voting LNP at this election.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to ensure the right focus on delivering the programs, services and communities for our state,” Tanya Mckewen said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
