Pinky Singh and the Crisafulli LNP Team have committed to delivering the Prebble Street bikeway, to better provide active transport connections in Rochedale and Wishart if elected next month.
Pinky Singh and a Crisafulli LNP Government will work with Council to deliver the Prebble Street bikeway to connect Rochedale and Wishart. The Prebble Street bikeway is a pedestrian and cyclist-only connection linking the end of Prebble Street with the Bulimba Creek bikeway and Wishart.
LNP candidate for Mansfield, Pinky Singh said the $5.6 million commitment would ensure every taxpayer dollar is invested to deliver the maximum benefit.
“The LNP will restore respect for your money, delivering projects on time and on budget, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Pinky Singh said.
“The Prebble Street bikeway will help get people out of their cars, and instead, get them walking and cycling to and from their local shops, appointments and friends, easing traffic on the busy Gardner and Mount Gravatt – Capalaba Road, as well as improving health outcomes in our local communities.
“Queenslanders are currently paying far more and getting far less under Labor.
"Time's up for Labor’s expensive failures which have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts, that could have instead delivered local infrastructure like the Prebble Street bikeway.”
Mrs Singh said Queenslanders could vote for the Prebble Street bikeway and a government focused on driving down cost pressures, by voting LNP at this election.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to restore respect for their money,” Mrs Singh said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
