Meet Nigel

Hi, I'm Nigel Hutton, your State Member for Keppel.

As a local teacher, a former councillor and proud father of two, I have spent every day of my working life trying to protect and enhance the community.

This beautiful part of Queensland is where I was raised, where my wife and I are raising our kids and where my parents and friends call home.

Having worked with our community to shape our region for nearly 10 years, I know there is so much potential here. But at the moment, we are facing crises in youth crime, housing and health.

People are worried about crime and concerned for their safety more than ever before; pressure on housing is increasing and there is more stress on our health system as the cost-of-living continues to rise.

These are the things driving me to stand up for the people of Keppel and make sure our voice is heard in the Queensland Parliament.

Over the next year and beyond I will be listening to all voices young and old in every corner of Keppel and working with David Crisafulli and the LNP team to tackle the challenges we face and deliver the change we so desperately need.
