Meet Pat
A Message From Pat
Hi, I'm Pat Weir, your State Member for Condamine
Pat has lived his whole life in the Darling Downs region of Queensland. He grew up near Cecil Plains on the family property ‘Donegal’ where he produced grain and cotton and ran a small cattle breeding herd.
Agriculture has played a significant role in Pat’s life, and he continues to be interested in the primary industry sector and its future.
In his younger days, Pat enjoyed playing sport and became involved in cricket and golf in the Cecil Plains area. He served on the committees of the Cecil Plains Rodeo Association, Cricket and Golf Clubs, an experience he enjoyed immensely and values highly to this day.
Pat has always held a great interest in politics, which led him to become the LNP candidate for the Condamine electorate and win the seat in the 2015 State Election.
During his term as a local member, Pat has actively supported local rural shows, service clubs, fundraising events, schools, local businesses, and many community groups. Pat has proudly attended citizenship ceremonies, school presentations, commemorative functions and several special birthday and wedding anniversary celebrations.
He is involved in several working groups, including the Agricultural Transport & Logistics working group, the Oakey Local Level Alliance, and the Renew Crows Nest Steering Committee.
Pat has two grown-up children, a daughter and a son, who live and work in the Toowoomba area.
