Meet Steve

Hi, I'm Steve Minnikin, your LNP member for Chatsworth.

Steve Minnikin is a long time Chatsworth local, having grown up in Carina and now living in Belmont.

With strong local ties, Steve and his wife call Chatsworth home and have raised their family here.   Steve has an intimate knowledge of Chatsworth and understands the issues that matter to the local community.

Steve has a wealth of real-world experience. Prior to entering Parliament, Steve was involved in the retail property management and development industry. As a businessman, Steve understands the need to invest in infrastructure to help grow our economy and create jobs.  

Serving as an Assistant Minister and now Shadow Minister, Steve has the experience to deliver results for Chatsworth locals.

Steve’s experience in business and State Parliament allows him to work with community groups, small businesses, and to protect our local environment and lifestyle.  

Listening to locals, Steve is aware of the right priorities for the Chatsworth area including making our community safer, easier access to health services and securing our housing foundations.  Cost of living pressures are having an impact on many household budgets in the Chatsworth electorate along with pressures on housing and rent affordability. 

He is also aware of the need to save you from paying for Labor’s failures and waste especially with the large cost blow outs to essential infrastructure projects which means that Chatsworth residents are paying more through their state taxes and yet receiving less.

Steve brings real-world experience, vision and a common sense ‘hands on’ local approach and working harder to delivering for our Chatsworth community.
