My pledge to you...
I grew up with my two brothers in Kallangur in the 70s and 80s.
While we weren’t well off, there was always food on the table – even if it was curried sausages and mashed potatoes.
After completing Grade 10 at Dakabin High School, I got a full-time job earning minimum wage. From there I worked my way up and at 33 started my own small business, The Good Guys at Morayfield.
As a husband to Alex (a Caboolture High graduate), dad to four great kids, and granddad to five, I understand the challenges and joys that families bring.
I want young people to know that no matter how they start, they can have success in life and I am driven to ensure future generations have the same opportunities.
Before being elected in 2019, I’d never worked in politics. I hate the mudslinging and personal attacks. I focus on my vision for our community and delivering real results.
It would be an honour to serve you for a third term - taking our needs to Canberra, not bringing Canberra’s needs to Longman.
All the best,
Terry Young
