Thank you for signing our petition.

Since 1951, the Gaythorne Bowls Club has been a vital and integral part of the Mitchelton Community going back to when Bert Garraway first presented his idea of a club to three local businessman who then decided to approach Brisbane City Council.
Fast forward to today, and the Gaythorne Bowls Club has more than 225 social members who come and use the facilities, including 85 members who actively play.
Many of the social games that are played at the bowls club happen at night, however that has become quite challenging lately with constant issues with lighting on the green.
Some lights just don’t turn on, and others are beyond repair, restricting the number of players who want to come and play in the evening.
Upgrading to more energy efficient lighting around the green would increase patronage numbers to the club and ensure that their membership numbers continue to grow.
This is a bright idea that is going to light up the lives of every single player and spectator at the Gaythorne Bowls Club. But, I need your support by signing my petition! It’s time to light up the Gaythorne Bowls Club in 2025. It’s a bright future!
