A Dutton LNP Government will invest $32.5 million in major road upgrades in Brisbane’s western suburbs.

Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, Senator Bridget McKenzie, said, “The Albanese Labor Government has cancelled, cut and delayed more than $30 billion worth of infrastructure projects over the past three years, projects like these have been neglected.

“The only way residents in Brisbane’s western suburbs can get these much-needed road upgrades is to vote for the LNP candidate for Ryan, Maggie Forrest.”

LNP candidate for Ryan, Maggie Forrest, announced that a Dutton LNP Government would upgrade the Moggill Road–Kenmore Roundabou  and the Samford Road–Osborne Road intersection in Keperra.

“Infrastructure upgrades for Moggill Road and the Samford and Osbourne Road intersection will reduce congestion and improve safety for the countless number of western suburbs residents who use these roads each day,” Ms Forrest said.

“Labor has failed to act on these much-needed road upgrades, but a Dutton LNP Government would provide a total of $32.5 million in funding to deliver these projects.

“The current Greens MP celebrated when the previous state Labor Government withdrew funding for the Moggill Road–Kenmore Roundabout upgrade and has failed to advocate for the road upgrades Ryan needs. The LNP is the only Party that will deliver these crucial infrastructure projects.

“My petition calling for better roads in Ryan received strong community feedback and I’m delighted to have secured this commitment from a Dutton LNP Government to construct these upgrades.”

This commitment is part of the LNP’s plan to strengthen our local communities and to get Australia back on track.  To read more about our plan, visit https://www.lnp.au/ontrack.
