The LNP will undertake a review of the current Cleveland-Redland Bay Road upgrade plans, exposing Labor’s failures in delivering the project in a timely and cost-effective way, if elected this month.
LNP candidate for Redlands, Rebecca Young, said residents are sick of the traffic delays caused by roadworks and have lost faith in Labor’s ability to plan and deliver infrastructure upgrades.
“The local Labor MPs and their government couldn’t organise a chook raffle.
“Motorists shouldn’t be stuck in traffic while the government dithers on important road upgrades.
LNP candidate for Oodgeroo, Amanda Stoker, said the LNP said Cleveland-Redland Bay Road was another victim of Labor’s more than $20 billion of major project blowouts.
“Labor’s blowouts means less work gets done for more money. And that means further investment in our local road network has to be delayed or cancelled.
“Queenslanders are currently paying far more and getting far less under Labor’s systematic, long-term government failures,” said Ms Stoker.
Ms Young, and Ms Stoker said Queenslanders could vote to end the chaos and elect a government focused on driving down cost pressures by voting LNP at this election.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024 to restore respect for their money,” Rebecca Young said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
