Yarrabilba’s young skaters will soon be riding high with an elected LNP Government to deliver $150,000 towards the upgrade of the Yarrabilba Skate Park.
Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz MP, announced the funding today, which will provide much-needed improvements to the popular community facility.
Mr Buchholz said the investment was about delivering better recreational spaces for young people and families.
“I’m proud to announce that an elected LNP Government will invest $150,000 towards the Yarrabilba Skate Park Upgrade,” Scott Buchholz said.
“Skate parks are more than just ramps and rails – they’re places where young people stay active, socialise, and develop skills.
“This investment will ensure the Yarrabilba Skate Park continues to be a top-tier facility for locals of all ages in our growing region.
“Only the LNP has a plan to invest in local infrastructure, improve community spaces, and get Australia back on track by backing local projects, investing in community spaces, and delivering the upgrades that matter most.”
Logan City Council Councillor, Nathan St Ledger, welcomed the funding saying the upgrade would provide a significant boost for the fast-growing Yarrabilba community.
“Yarrabilba is one of Logan’s fastest-growing areas, and ensuring we have high-quality recreational spaces is crucial,” Cr St Ledger said.
“This funding will allow us to deliver a fantastic upgrade to the skate park, benefiting families, young people, and the broader community.
“Scott Buchholz has fought hard to deliver this funding, and we’re grateful for his commitment to our community.”
