The LNP has committed to major facility upgrades at Western Suburbs Cricket Club in West End if elected next month.
The popular club has been looking for funding to replace new cricket nets for hundreds of young cricketers to hone their skills.
LNP candidate for Townsville Adam Baillie said the commitment was part of their focus on working harder for Queenslanders, while under Labor Queensland was heading in the wrong direction.
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Adam Baillie said.
“This $50,000, along with a letter of support provides a significant contribution toward the Western Suburbs Cricket Club funding required to deliver new cricket nets.
“Labor’s failures have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots facility upgrades at local sporting clubs.
“Queenslanders should have a government that delivers the programs and services needed for the State’s future, supporting our communities.”
Adam Baillie said Queenslanders could vote for sporting facility upgrades and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to ensure the right focus on delivering the programs, services and communities for our state,” Adam Baillie said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
