Federal LNP Member for Petrie, Luke Howarth MP, today announced an $890,000 commitment from an elected LNP Government for upgrades to the Peninsula Power facilities to increase accessibility for players and families.
“Everyone in our local community deserves the opportunity to play sport, but we don’t have enough facilities to support the rapid expansion of the Club,” Mr Howarth said.
“This project will increase patronage and support the increase of participation from women and girls. The upgrades will finish the Bradley Park Female changerooms and complete much-needed upgrades for the Peninsula Power.
“I am proud to be part of a LNP team that recognises the importance of community sport with this $890,000 commitment to upgrade the infrastructure for the Peninsula Power players and the wider community.
Peninsula Power President Craig Feuerriegel welcomed this announcement, saying “Our club continues to provide football opportunities for male and female participants aged from 3 to 65 years. This announcement will support much needed facility upgrades to allow us to continue our mission for health sporting and social activities.”
Only the LNP has a plan to invest in our local community facilities and get Australia back on track.
