LNP candidate for Blair, Carl Mutzelburg, announced today that a Dutton LNP Government would provide $200,000 for Springfield Central Sports Complex to install a four-lane net facility for cricket players and a lighting upgrade.
“A Dutton LNP Government will be committed to providing our community with the facilities we need to encourage active participation for our local sporting organisations,” Mr Mutzelburg said.
“In life, practice makes perfect, and that’s true when it comes to cricket. A four-lane nets facility for Springfield Central Sports Complex will provide budding young cricketers with the perfect area to hone their batting and bowling skills.
“The Albanese Labor Government and the local Labor Member, Shayne Neumann, have neglected our community for too long. Only a Dutton LNP Government will deliver the projects our community needs.”
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding welcomed the commitment to the Springfield Central Sports Complex as much needed investment into grassroots sports in Ipswich.
“An upgrade to this complex will benefit local athletes and families, and create the opportunity for more locals to get involved in sport. I thank Mr Mutzelburg for this funding commitment and his support for sporting organisations in Ipswich,” said Mayor Harding.
This commitment is part of the LNP plan to strengthen our local communities and to get Australia back on track.
