A Dutton LNP Government would invest $450,000 to provide essential upgrades to Honeyeater Park that would see an expansion in the number of sports that could be played at the venue.
Federal LNP candidate for Ryan, Maggie Forrest, said “Honeyeater Park is the largest open space in The Gap and has been providing hours of entertainment for local sporting clubs, families and community groups for many decades now,”
“Our park has been fortunate enough to benefit from recent State Government funding of $1.5 million, but only a Dutton LNP Government would provide the remaining investment needed.
“We’re investing in local community and sporting clubs to ensure they continue to thrive with better facilities and infrastructure. Delivering the Honeyeater Park sporting facility upgrade will mean a new amenities building for cricket, AFL, football, and hockey clubs.
“This project will benefit not only Honeyeater Park, but other local groups who use the space. Only a Dutton LNP Government will contribute the remaining funding required on top of the existing funding commitment from the Queensland State Government to deliver this upgrade.”
