A Dutton LNP Government will light up Ebbw Vale Memorial Park with a $300,000 investment to install new lights that will benefit local sporting teams and families.
LNP candidate for Blair, Carl Mutzelburg, announced this commitment that will enable extended playing hours and improved safety for local residents who use the park.
"I've had strong feedback from the local community that the current lighting is failing and not up to standard,” Mr Mutzelburg said.
“I’m delighted to announce that a Dutton LNP Government, in conjunction with Ipswich City Council, will provide funding for a lighting upgrade to Ebbw Vale Memorial Park. This upgrade will allow the local sporting groups and residents to make use of this park at nighttime.
“The Albanese Labor Government and the local Labor Member have neglected our community for too long. Only a Liberal National Government will deliver the projects our community needs.”
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding welcomed this commitment by the LNP to work with Council to provide a much-needed upgrade to the lighting at Ebbw Vale Memorial Park.
“This is a fantastic investment in the local community, increasing the opportunity for residents and families to be healthy and active,” Mayor Harding said.
“Ebbw Vale Memorial Park is a heritage-listed sports ground, and this investment is an important commitment to ensure the park remains as safe and accessible as possible. I thank Mr Mutzelburg for his support.”
Troy Beahan, President of Ipswich Knights FC said “We’re pleased to receive the commitment to funding a much-needed lighting upgrade—an important part of our broader facility improvement plan.
“This upgrade will support greater field use, evening programs, and enhance the overall experience for players and the community.” Mr Beahan said
