A Dutton LNP Government will light up Redbank Plains Recreation Reserve with a $330,000 upgrade to this vital community facility.
LNP candidate for Blair, Carl Mutzelburg, today announced a Dutton LNP Government will replace the existing lighting on Oval A at the Redbank Plains Recreation Reserve. The upgraded lighting will benefit sporting groups and families who utilise the much-loved community park.
“I’ve engaged extensively with local residents and sporting clubs who use Redbank Plains Recreation Reserve and it is clear that the lighting on Oval A desperately needs replacement,” Mr Mutzelburg said.
“A Dutton LNP Government will work with the Ipswich City Council to provide the necessary funding for this lighting upgrade. This will provide sporting clubs who use this field with extended playing hours and will particularly benefit young people.
“The Albanese Labor Government and the local Labor Member have neglected our community for too long. Only a Dutton LNP Government will deliver the projects our community needs.”
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding added that Redbank Plains Recreation Reserve was a central point for the local community, and thanked Mr Mutzelburg for his commitment.
“Redbank Plains is one of our biggest and fastest growing communities, so this facility plays an important role in promoting social inclusion and a healthy lifestyle. I welcome this commitment from the LNP to provide a lighting upgrade in response to the community’s feedback.
“Several local sporting clubs including AFL, cricket and rugby league use the Redbank Plains Recreation Reserve so it’s important it receives investment from all levels of government to maintain a standard the community deserves,” said Mayor Harding.
This commitment is part of the LNP plan to strengthen our local communities and to get Australia back on track.
