A Dutton LNP Government will back our Somerset regional community by upgrading the Kilcoy Showgrounds.
LNP Candidate for Blair, Carl Mutzelburg, said a Dutton LNP Government would provide $450,000 for the Kilcoy Showgrounds to upgrade the lighting to LEDs, and install new concrete floors, roofs, servery and rodeo arena drainage.
“Show societies are the lifeblood of our regional communities and a Dutton LNP Government will back the Somerset by upgrading the Kilcoy Showgrounds with a $450,000 investment,” Mr Mutzelburg said.
“This will include linking the Ken and Mary Nunn Building with permanent LED lighting and a new servery, improving the accessibility of the facility.
Robbie Christie President of the Kilcoy Rodeo Committee Inc., said, “This funding to be provided by a LNP Government for lighting the rodeo arena will be a game changer for the Kilcoy Rodeo. These upgrades will provide greater safety for our patrons and competitors.
“It will mean a huge saving on one of our largest expenses, and will allow Kilcoy Rodeo Committee to return more funds from the event straight back to the many community associations that support our Rodeo.
Susan Pratten of the Kilcoy Show Society said, "The hundreds of thousands of dollars pledged by the LNP will greatly help the Kilcoy Show Society to better serve the residents of Kilcoy and beyond with better shows and events.”
Mr Mutzelburg said, “I’ll always listen and fight for our community. From Somerset to Ipswich, we need to build the community facilities our community needs and only an LNP Government can deliver these upgrades.”
This commitment is part of the LNP’s plan to strengthen our local communities and get Australia back on track.
