LNP Candidate for Leichhardt Jeremy Neal has announced a commitment of $4.1million to upgrade vital sporting infrastructure at Endeavour Park.
This investment will fund upgrades to field lighting and construct a new Centre of Excellence facility, featuring an improved canteen and modernized male and female change rooms.
Endeavour Park serves as a vital hub for the Far North Queensland community, accommodating over 2,500 junior players and more than 4,000 participants each weekend.
The venue regularly hosts school sporting carnivals, Indigenous football initiatives, Premier League Finals Series and the Football Queensland Academy Program. These $4.1 million upgrades secured by the Coalition will bring even more sporting opportunities to the area.
LNP candidate for Leichhardt Jeremy Neal emphasized the importance of these upgrades for local families and aspiring athletes:
"Investing in Endeavour Park is investing in our community's future. These enhancements will provide our young athletes with facilities that match their dedication and talent, ensuring they have the same opportunities as their
metropolitan counterparts.
"I’ve been working with Queensland Football for some time to secure the funding needed for these upgrades because I know how much this will benefit our community.
“Upgrading Endeavour Park will not only benefit our local players but also attract more events to our region, stimulating economic growth and showcasing Far North Queensland as a premier sporting destination."
The planned developments are designed to support the growing number of football participants in the area and to provide a platform for both elite and community players to excel.
