A Dutton LNP Government will support sporting clubs and residents in Ipswich by upgrading the Limestone Park Netball Canteen.
Carl Mutzelburg LNP candidate for Blair, has announced a $250,000 commitment to ensure that the busy Limestone Park Netball canteen is fit for purpose for the growing Ipswich community.
"Netball is one of the fastest growing sports and Ipswich is one of the fastest growing areas. It is crucial that we are backing our local community groups like the Ipswich Netball Association,” Mr Mutzelburg said.
“The kitchen facilities have done their time, but as the park grows in popularity our facilities and infrastructure need to keep up.
“With these upgrades there will be the availability for more range, stock and better staffing. This all means a wider range of options for those enjoying sport.”
Tegan Vandenberg, President of the Ipswich Netball Association, said, “Ipswich Netball is thrilled with the commitment of $250,000 by the LNP toward the refurbishment of our canteen.
“This will mean that we can expand our menu, run more efficiently and most importantly grow netball in Ipswich,” Ms Vandenburg said.
Angie Bell, LNP Shadow Minister for Early Childhood Education and Shadow Minister for Youth, said Labor continues to ignore our community groups across Queensland.
“Supporting and empowering our grassroots sporting clubs has never been more important than right now because they are simply being left behind by Labor,” Ms Bell said.
“This commitment will provide a great benefit to young people across the region who play netball and will no doubt attract new players to the sport.
“Only the LNP can deliver this upgrade for Limestone Park Netball, and it demonstrates our commitment to the Ipswich community.”
This commitment is part of the LNP plan to strengthen our local communities and to get Australia back on track.
