Kids in Fig Tree Pocket will enjoy a more sun safe play environment with a Dutton-led Liberal National Government committing $15,000 for upgrades at the Gan Gani Kindergarten.
Federal Liberal National candidate for Ryan, Maggie Forrest, announced the funding today to develop new outdoor shades, an outdoor bathroom, and hand washing facilities for the children, educators, and parents.
“Kindy is crucial for our children’s development, providing a solid foundation for future learning by fostering social, emotional, and cognitive skills through play and interaction in a safe environment,” LNP candidate for Ryan, Maggie Forrest, said.
“As a working Mum, I know the importance of our children being able to learn safely in a variety of settings, especially when they’re outside and in the sun. With more parents returning to the workforce, the demand for quality kindergarten programs and facilities like Gan Gani remains at an all-time high.
“However, so many childcare providers are struggling in this cost-of-living-crisis, which is why I’ll continue to fight to ensure that their facilities are getting the support they need.”
Co-Director of Gan Gani, Sally Twina, said, “With this new funding, we can invest in an extra shade sail for our outdoor space, enabling our children to expand their play time area in a sun safe and protected way. It’s a fabulous investment in the future development for our children.”
