My pledge to you...
Brisbane has been my home for years, and I served as your local MP from 2016 to 2022. We achieved a lot during that time.
But over the past three years, the Labor Government in Canberra has let us down. Their cost of living crisis has made life harder. We deserve better.
Before politics, I was an economist at the ACCC and ran the National Retail Association. As your local MP, I spent three years as the Assistant Minister for Waste Reduction and Environmental Management concentrating on sustainability. I know we can help the environment without making it hard for people to get ahead.
Since 2022, I’ve taken the lead on policy development in the areas of environmental, recycling and product stewardship, while staying connected to our community.
Now, I pledge to provide strong local representation here in Brisbane. And I pledge to work hard to ensure our city thrives and gets its fair share. I’d love your support!

Why we're supporting Trevor Evans

The last few years have been incredibly tough on local businesses – with COVID, the 2022 floods and now, a cost of living crisis that just won’t go away. Trevor has always been someone to show up, to listen, and do the work, and I know he will be a fantastic representative.
Olivia, Small Business Owner, Paddington
As a young person studying at uni, juggling part time work to get by and saving for a house, I’m supporting Trevor because he feels like the only candidate who really understands how hard it is at the moment. There’s so much more to be done and Brisbane needs Trevor.
Rachel, Uni Student, Petrie Terrace
When Trevor was our local Member from 2016-22, he was visible and an advocate for small business. When COVID struck we were forced to close for a period, Trevor was responsive, supportive and accessible. I will always be grateful to him for his support during that incredibly tricky time.
Tarryn, Local Resident & Small Business Owner, Newstead
