Meet Trevor
A Message From Trevor
Hi, I'm Trevor Evans, your LNP candidate for Brisbane.
Trevor is a former MP who was first elected to the Federal Parliament to represent the electorate of Brisbane in 2016 and was re-elected as the Member for Brisbane in 2019.
Trevor was sworn in as the Assistant Minister for Waste Reduction and Environmental Management on 29 May 2019.
Prior to his career in politics, Trevor served as the CEO of the National Retail Association and worked as an economist in various roles including the ACCC, Seqwater and the Queensland Competition Authority.
During his 6 years in the Federal Parliament, Trevor was a champion of environmental sustainability and brought his economic expertise to important reforms such as GST and tax reform, industrial relations and circular economy laws.
Since 2022, Trevor has taken on leadership roles in the areas of environmental, recycling and product stewardship policy, and as Special Advisor to the board of the National Retail Association.
Trevor has remained closely connected to the local community through this time and has continued to advocate for the interests of the people of Brisbane.
Mr. Evans is a proven local member who has a long history of delivering on his promises. Brisbane needs a better, harder-working representative than what has been seen in recent years from the Greens, and Trevor Evans is the person who will deliver on that promise.
